My Experience With the Baby!!
My experience with the "Baby think it over Program" was a very good eye
opener. I can't say I had a very horrible time doing this program but I can
say that it was hard to wake up and be there when the baby cried, right at
that moment. I think that if there was a way that every girl or guy have to
take this program it would reduce the teen pregnancy. This program also showed
me how hard teen mothers work to get though school, work and trying to find a
babysitter so that they could go to work, because when I had the baby I had to
find a babysitter for both nights. My dad of course watched the baby. I think
he also saw that it was a eye opener for me and for him just because if I was
to get pregnant I would have to not only go to school but also go to work and
I wouldn't leave my baby with just anyone. It would have to be with some one I
trust and know.
It was very different to have a baby for two days, you had to make sure
that when it cries you are always there. As I watched the other students in
the class do the program before me I learned who was ready for children and
who was not ready. Even though none of us are really ready but if it was to
happen some people will be able to handle a baby. I can tell you that I had to
pull my car over a couple of times in order to make "Hunter" my baby to stop
crying.
I know that this was just a grade but it was a very good lesson to me. The
Baby Think It Over Program, taught me a lot of things about teen pregnancy and
a lot about my self, how I'm not ready and that neither is my family. I have a
couple of years so I'm really not worried about starting a family this early
anyway. I don't see how the girls that have already had a baby do it.
