Anam Cara is a retreat sited on five acres crisscrossed with narrow paths leading to secluded and wonderful locations to sit, think and write like the old stone ruins of the Mill House or the bee-hive hut cut from the slope of the hill. One path leads to the river fed by a series of water falls deep enough to swim, another to a bridge leading to an enchanted island or down the road a narrow path leads to the sea.
